OUR HISTORY

The Bio-Natura Regina company was born in 2017 from the idea of a young biologist, Roberto Regina, who has always been passionate about nature. In fact, he graduated, reaching full marks, at the “La Sapienza” University of Rome in ECOBIOLOGY. During his studies he comes into contact with specialists in the heliciculture sector and thus becomes passionate about these slow but fantastic animals, snails or commonly (and erroneously) called snails. Back in his Puglia, he decides to devote himself to his project: to create the Bio Natura Regina company.

By raising its snails with the most natural method possible, it reproduces their natural habitat in a land of about 6000 square meters 2 in the countryside of San Severo, on the slopes of the Gargano. In this space the snails can “graze” freely and feed on the products of the earth, cultivated especially for them. Every year, when winter begins to give way to the first warmth of spring, the cavalier and the chard are planted to ensure complete nutrition, and the dwarf clover, to create a microhabitat in which they can take refuge from the direct rays of the Sun.
