CRUELTY FREE EXTRACTION

The extraction of slime takes place in total well-being for the molluscs, obtaining a product of high chemical and organoleptic quality, far from that of slime extracted with invasive and stressful stimulators (vinegar, salt …).
The percentages of mucopolissacarides and proteins found in the slime from machinery and equipment in the last phase of testing are very high and therefore more effective in the anti-inflammatory, soothing, restructuring task of the cells.
In the phases of the extraction process, natural substances are used which do not affect the health of the snail and which, on the contrary, revitalize its physiological well-being.
The result is a high valorisation of the extracted product, also with a view to developing consequent consumption.
Another important benefit of using natural stimulants is the immediate sanitization of the extract by eliminating most of the degenerative microorganisms and molds present on the snail’s body.
The slime thus extracted has a very high shelf life and no longer undergoes fast degenerative processes. In any case, the best preservation method and any preservatives to be used will be decided on a case-by-case basis.
A very important fact – the snails used for extraction do not suffer biological damage or suffering. They can then be placed back in the enclosures as soon as they leave the machinery used for extraction.
Tests carried out in the last 36 months confirm that farmed molluscs, if well fed and properly irrigated in the enclosures, can be subjected to at least two extractions every year, without recording biological damage.
